Overall thoughts on the game
"It wasn't as pretty as we would have liked. The first half left a lot to be desired. We got off to a slow start, but in the second half we figured it out and got to playing at a high level. I was pleased with the way we moved the ball those last 16 minutes. We shared it unselfishly, we found stuff in transition and were able to score it a better rate. It definitely wasn't our best day by any means, but give Florida College credit for their game plan and how they attacked us. All of this sets up a huge game on Tuesday for sure."

On the triple-double effort of junior forward Travin Thibodeaux
"Thibodeaux has worked so hard and made such huge strides in the off season. We're so proud of his work ethic and his desire to get better. The stat that wasn't there was his voice. He's a good talker and communicator defensively and offensively. That's not a statable thing, but it was the reason we were able to get hot and figure out a way to win. For him to do that – he's just the third person to do that here – so he's in some elite company for a program that has the history that this one has."

On the upcoming home game against Tulane
"Tuesday is a huge step for us. When I got here five and a half years ago, we didn't know what division we were going in, we didn't know what league we were going to be in. To be able to find a home and get arguably our biggest rival back here in Lakefront Arena in a series that has such rich history going back to playing them at the Chamber of Horrors and playing them at the Superdome, it's just an unbelievable series. For the series to be so close and so even, it's amazing. We're excited to host them, we look forward to playing at a high level and hopefully giving our alumni, our fans and our students a great win on Tuesday."
