NEW ORLEANS – This weekend's Southland Conference baseball contest between the University of New Orleans the Southeastern Lions will have a special ticket promotion as part of "Saturday In The Park" at Maestri Field at First NBC Ballpark. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m.
The $15 ticket pack includes a chairback seat in the Silver Section of the grandstand, free food and soft drinks, and two tickets redeemable for a 12 oz. beer. The home game against the Lions is the lone contest of the series played on the Lakefront as the two teams will play on Friday and Sunday in Hammond, Louisiana.
The Privateers enter the weekend looking to secure a spot in the Southland Tournament. With six league games remaining, UNO stands 12-12 in the conference and is tied for sixth in the standings. Southeastern, meanwhile has paced the field throughout the conference slate and enters the weekend with a Southland-best 21-3 record.
