The University of New Orleans has impacted nearly everyone in New Orleans. It is often said that the University of New Orleans built the middle class in New Orleans. If you didn’t graduate from the University of New Orleans, or at least take classes towards an undergraduate or master’s degree, then someone in your family probably did.

One of the best ways to support the University of New Orleans is to get involved with the Athletics department. By coming to games, you add excitement and energy to the university. By attending the Homecoming festivities or the Privateer Golf Classic, you build community surrounding Privateer events. And by contributing to the Privateer Scholarship Fund, you help fund student-athletes’ educational pursuits.

We have a strong, loyal core group of alumni and fans who love their Privateers. But we all agree that we need to grow that number. That’s the goal of the ReKREWEtment Challenge – to welcome in the many Privateer fans and friends who have cheered from afar into #NOLAsTeam. To “build the base” of dedicated supporters who contribute to New Orleans by contributing to New Orleans Athletics.

Each week points will be calculated and circulated on Friday afternoons via email to all participants. The ReKREWEtment Challenge will run until Homecoming on Saturday, November 11th and final point tallies will be announced the following Monday.

If you’d like to host a tailgate in Tailgate Village, then buy your tent package here. A 20’ x 20’ tent, including 2 tables and 10 chairs as well as 20 game tickets, cost $500; a 10’ x 10’ tent, with 1 table, 6 chairs and 10 game tickets costs $250. Invite your friends, bring your food and drinks and settle in for a great day with your Privateers!

Tailgate Village is open to all fans starting at 11:00am on Saturday, November 11th. There will be food and drink sales available to everyone.

Yes! You’ll be credited with points for your increased support. For instance, if you increase your Privateer Scholarship Fund gift from $100 to $250, you’ll be credited with 150 points towards the Challenge. All upgraded gifts since July 1, 2023 will be credited for ReKREWEtment Challenge points.

Easy – you can do any of the following:

• Have your friends note on their purchase that you referred them.
• Let Vince know that your friend is purchasing tickets.
• Reply to the weekly ReKREWEtment Challenge email with your friends’ purchases.

While we love the referrals, that won’t count for ReKREWEtment Challenge points – you have to ensure that the purchase or donation is completed for points to be earned.
