Schwaner had a big week for the Privateers, batting 10 for 17 (.588) as UNO split four games this week. Among his totals were six runs scored, four RBIs, two doubles and two home runs.

The third baseman started his week with a 2-for-4 outing against LSU, hitting two doubles and scoring a run. Against Florida International, the began to get increasingly hot. Schwaner hit 3-for-5 in the series opener, coming across the plate twice for runs and bringing in one run. In the second game, he went 2-for-3 with another run scored and followed it up with his biggest Sun Belt game of the year, batting 3-for-5 with two home runs, two runs scored and three RBIs in a close 11-10 game as the Privateers won their second road series in conference play this year.
