Hafsa Laraibi is this week's UNOPrivateers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

Laraibi was one of several Privateers who turned in a strong showing at the annual Big Easy Classic over the weekend. Laraibi advanced to the finals in the Flight 3 singles bracket, and teamed up with Yasmine Rashad to win the doubles draw.

In singles, Laraibi went through three matches in straight sets. On her path to the finals, Laraibi defeated a pair of Southeastern players in Dany Raygadas and Avika Sagwal. 

In doubles, Laraibi and Rashad won five matches over two days to win the doubles title. In the final, the tandem outlasted West Virginia's Hailey Barrett and Habiba Shaker 8-6. Laraibi's performance helped vault the Privateers to the women's team championship over the weekend.
