ATHLETIC COMMUNICATIONS & MARKETING

New Orleans Athletics Communications is happy to serve the working media in any way possible. Our staff will fulfill all reasonable requests.

All requests for student-athletes must be made by emailing Chip Merritt (clmerri1@uno.edu) or Emmanuel Pepis (epepis@uno.edu).

The University of New Orleans follows the guidelines set forth by the NCAA and the Southland Conference in governing the issuance of credentials. All other credential requests should be submitted to the sport contacts.

We strongly urge you to do so at least two weeks in advance. When making interview requests, please allow at least 24 hours notice. Advance notice on both items will help ensure that your request will be handled efficiently.

To confirm receipt of credential requests or to check the status of a request, please contact your SID.

DISTRIBUTION LIST
Releases, game notes, advisories, etc., are e-mailed to media that cover the University of New Orleans Privateers on a regular basis. Media wishing to be added to the e-mail list for a particular sport should contact the communications representative responsible for that sport.

INTERVIEW REQUESTS
Out-of-town media wishing to interview New Orleans student-athletes should also contact the communications office with their requests. Home and cell phone numbers for student-athletes will not be provided and student-athletes have been instructed not to accept calls from media without prior notice from the communications office. Please do not contact a student-athlete or coach without scheduling the interview through the communications office.

MEDIA SERVICES
Typical home game media services include pregame notes packets, halftime and final statistics, a running play-by-play. The media is encouraged to follow live statistics online through UNOPrivateers.com.

PHOTOS / VIDEO
Student-athlete head shots, highlights and selected interviews are available via the New Orleans Athletics' Dropbox or Box account. Please contact the sport's communications representative for requests.

PHONE LINES
Phone lines are available on a first-come, first-serve basis at Lakefront Arena and Maestri Field. Visiting radio booths at both Lakefront Arena and Maestri Field are equipped with hard-line internet, and phone lines upon request.

INJURY POLICY
The University of New Orleans athletics department will abide by HIPAA - a federal privacy act with regard to the release of injury information. UNO student-athletes will be required to sign a waiver before their injury information is released to the media. If the athlete chooses to withhold that information, athletics officials will be restricted to informing the media members of their playing status only - playing, probable, doubtful or out.
