Daniel Martinez is this week's UNOPrivateers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

Martinez started a five-game week on a winning note for the Privateers by pitching a complete game in New Orleans' win over Jackson State on Tuesday. It was the second road win for the Privateers this season.

After allowing two runs in the first inning, Martinez settled in and allowed just one run the rest of the game. Martinez picked up his first collegiate victory while recording a career best for strikeouts in an outing (9).
