Michael Batson is this week's UNOPrivateers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

Batson turned in a second consecutive top five finish in the 800-meters at the Louisiana Classics. Batson turned in a season-best time of 1:50.08 to finish second in the event in Lafayette.

That came on the heels of Batson's prior season best performance in the 800 two weeks ago at the John Mitchell Alabama Relays where he finished fourth. Batson is the defending Southland outdoor champion in the 800.
