Daniel Martinez is this week's UNOPrivateers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

Martinez made three relief appearances and picked up two saves over the weekend against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Martinez stepped on the bump on Friday with the tying run on deck for the Islanders. Martinez induced a pop out and then navigated the ninth for his first save of the weekend.

On Saturday, Martinez came back with a three-run lead to protect and allowed just one unearned run while clinching the series victory as UNO went on to eventually sweep Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Martinez's first appearance spanned 2.2 innings with no runs allowed and four strikeouts against Jackson State.
