After lasting no more than five innings in his previous six starts, Stone Speer established career-highs in innings (eight) and strikeouts (eight) while lifting UNO to a 5-3 win over West Georgia.

The right-handed junior allowed a single run on three hits in the victory. The eight innings and eight strikeouts by Speer were the most by a Privateer pitcher this year. Speer’s production on the mound enabled UNO to pick up its lone win of the week.
