Benjamin Bouhana was a part of two critical victories for the University of New Orleans in a 4-3 victory over Lamar in their season opener.

In the doubles' point deciding match, Bouhana teamed with freshman Hossam Meligy for an 8-6 victory at the No. 1 doubles' court to preserve the doubles' point for the Privateers In singles' play, with the dual on the line, Bouhana prevailed in a third-set tiebreaker, defeating Robert Lee 6-4, 6-7 (5), 7-6 (5) to claim the victory.
