Lovell Cook is this week's UNOPrivateers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
Cook averaged 19.5 points, six rebounds and two steals per game as the Privateers went 1-1 on the week. The product of Warren Easton shot 14 of 22 for a 63.6 percent clip from the field and 10 of 13 from the charity stripe.
For Cook, the week started with a 6 of 9 effort from the field and a game-high 20 points against San Jose State. Cook netted a career-high nine rebounds in the contest.
A game later against Champion Baptist, Cook needed just 22 minutes to rack up 19 points and a career-high four steals. Cook once more topped 60 percent from the field, shooting 8 of 13 against CBC. The four steals helped UNO post 22 in the game, one short of the school-record of 23 set in 1985.
On the campaign, Cook is averaging 14 points, 2.9 rebounds and shooting at a 58.4 percent clip from the field - one of the nation's leaders in field goal percentage.
