Track and field athlete Victor Arroyo is this week's UNOPrivateers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

This past weekend, Arroyo had a pair of event wins and two additional top three placements at the Tulane Team Challenge.

Arroyo's event victories came in the men's javelin (109.74 feet) and men's pole vault (10 feet). The other top showings came in the men's 110 murdles (20.28 seconds) and men's discus (103.71 feet), where he finished second and third respectively.

A native of Jayuya, Puerto Rico, Arroyo is expected to compete in the decathalon as the season wears on.
