Raymond Winter is this week's UNOPrivateers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

Winter was credited with the victory in Saturday's 8-7 win against McNeese State after the junior allowed just a single hit over a career-long 3.2 innings of relief. The effort by Winter afforded the Privateers an opportunity to come back in the contest and pick up their first victory after 14 straight defeats.

For the week, Winter was 1-0 with a 3.86 ERA. The former Brother Martin standout allowed just two runs on two hits while striking out two over 4.2 innings. Opposing hitters struggled against Winter, hitting just .125 against the right-handed pitcher.

On the season, Winter has a team-leading 1.69 ERA after making seven appearances and throwing 10.2 innings of work. Winter, who transferred to the Lakefront from Copiah Lincoln Community College, has four strikeouts without allowing a single walk to date.
