NEW ORLEANS - The University of New Orleans athletic department and the
Office of Admissions are teaming together to host a "Welcome Back Tip
Off" event on Wednesday, Jan. 13 at Lakefront Arena beginning at 5:30
p.m.
Free for students, the festivities get underway on the Lakefront Arena concourse ahead of the scheduled 7 p.m. tip between the Lady Privateers and UALR.
In addition to free food and music, there will be games and prizes available to participants. Tickets to a New Orleans Hornets game headline a list of prizes include gifts from Best Buy, Perlis, Papa's Pizza, Mark Twain's Pizza Landing and the Privateer Athletic Foundation. Additionally, more than 15 student groups will be present with information about their organizations.
Transportation will be provided to students with buses arriving at Pontchartrain Hall and Privateer Place every 10 minutes beginning at 5 p.m. to shuttle students to Lakefront Arena.
The first 300 fans to arrive at Lakefront Arena will receive free t-shirts.
