UNO Falls 7-0 to Stephen F. Austin for Third Straight 7-0 Defeat

NATCHITOCHES, La. - The University of New Orleans women's tennis team fell for the third straight time by a 7-0 result, losing to Stephen F. Austin on Saturday afternoon at the Jack Fisher Complex.

UNO fell to 2-3 on the season while SFA improved to 4-1.

The Privateers were playing without the services of a sixth player for the second straight match, leading the squad to drop matches at No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles.

With the advantage clearly in their favor SFA needed just one doubles' match to claim the doubles' point. The Lumberjacks did one better by sweeping the two matches contested.

In singles' play, SFA continued to post the results necessary to win, sweeping each of the five contested matches in straight sets.

UNO will look for their first win since a Feb. 8 victory over Southeastern Louisiana when they travel to Mobile, Ala. on Wednesday for a 2 p.m. dual against South Alabama.
