NEW ORLEANS – Nicolas Kramer earned a straight set victory at No. 5 in the University of New Orleans' (4-12) 4-1 loss to Troy University (11-9) Sunday afternoon at the University Tennis Center. The Privateers honored
Giacomo Adoncecchi and
Federico Boscarino prior to the match as part of the final home match of 2018.
Kramer upended Antonio Selma 6-3, 7-5.
The Trojans picked up the doubles point but Boscarino and
Alexis Guedy went into singles play after ending the top doubles leading 5-4 (unfinished).
In the top flight, Boscarino took a lead with the opening 7-5 victory but Oskar Michalek knotted No. 1 up with a 6-2 win.
No. 2 went unfinished but Guedy was tied 1-1 in the tiebreaking set. At No. 4, Adoncecchi forced a tiebreaker in a back-and-forth and No. 6 (unfinished) featured a second-set win by
Lorenzo Camilli.
