HOUSTON – The Privateers let it rain and reached the century mark for the fourth time this season en route to a 106-98 victory over one of the nation's best offensive teams in HBU Wednesday at Sharp Gym. HBU entered playing at the fastest pace in the country and New Orleans matched the Huskies, highlighted by a 20-0 run in the first and closing the game on a 16-5 run for its second Southland win.
Bryson Robinson led the squad with 26 points and added seven rebounds,
Raquan Brown came off the bench with 20 points on 7-of-10 shooting,
Ahren Freeman went 9-of-10 for 19 points and eight rebounds,
Troy Green added 19 points and eight assists and
Gerrale Gates finished with 11 points, eight rebounds and two blocks.
The freshmen shined early and the veteran core took over late with Robinson and Green combining for 30 points in the second half.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- New Orleans went on a 20-run run midway through the stanza and led 52-44 at halftime.
- Brown led all with 13 first-half points – nine from deep – and Freeman recorded 11.
- Gates posted two steals and two blocks in the first and closed with a tip-in that beat the buzzer.
- HBU picked up the pace in the second and took a one-point lead with 12 minutes remaining. The edge was short-lived as Freeman followed with a second chance bucket to regain the lead for UNO.
