SENIOR SEASON (2012-13)
Partnered with Hossam Meligy for unblemished SLC doubles campaign to earn first-team All-SLC and No. 1 doubles championship… Reached Big Easy doubles championship final… Overall doubles’ record of 12-8, including 9-7 in the spring… Went 3-1 in completed SLC singles matches at No. 1 or No. 2 courts… All-SLC second team singles’ selection… Posted singles’ win in SLC title match against No. 56 TAMU-CC’s Gergo Weidinger… Was named SLC Player of the Week on Mar. 19 following wins in both singles’ and doubles’ against Alcorn State… Overall singles’ record of 7-12, including 7-11 in the spring.
JUNIOR SEASON (2011-12)
ITA All-American... All-Louisiana second team selection... Posted an 8-12 overall singles mark and 16-3 mark in doubles' play... Singles' record included a 6-11 record in dual season and 6-10 at the No. 1 position... Top singles' victories included Alcorn State, West Alabama and Jackson State... Teamed with Hossam Meligy to finish year ranked No. 4 nationally in doubles with a 14-2 mark in spring (14-3 overall)... Tandem also ranked No. 1 in ITA South Region... Posted a 10-0 mark within the ITA South Region and 4-0 record against nationally-ranked teams, including win over then No. 2 squad from West Florida... Other ranked wins included No. 8 team from Saint Leo's, No. 14 squad from Barry and No. 10 duo from Rollins... Tandem finished campaign on a six-match winning streak.
PRE-UNO
Attended BYU from 2009 through 2011... During 2009-10 season, posted a 4-4 record including an 0-2 mark in the dual season in singles' play... Posted a 3-1 record in doubles with Evan Urbina... As a sophomore, went 1-2 in fall play including a victory over Montana State's Lander Jewett in his first singles' match of the year.
HIGH SCHOOL
Attended Colegio Miraflores de Cuernavaca... A Mexico national champion in singles and doubles'... Claimed 12 national championships in doubles and finished 2008 as the No. 2 ranked player in the country... Won a bronze medal at the Central American Junior Games... A regional champion from 2000 through 2006... Also was a state champion from 2008 through 2008...Also played on the soccer team.
