SOPHOMORE SEASON (2012-13)
Posted a 5-9 record in singles’ play, including a 5-7 result in the spring… Wins in singles’ included Nicholls State, Prairie View A&M, Xavier, Texas-Pan American and Loyola… Come-from-behind 5-7, 7-5, 6-3 win over UTPA’s Victor Alves at No. 6 position clinched match for Privateers… In doubles’ play, was 4-3 with Rui Silva and 9-5 overall… Teamed with Silva for doubles’ point clinching 8-6 win at No. 3 court against Texas A&M-Corpus Christi in Southland championship match…. Also posted key wins against Alabama State, Alcorn State, Incarnate Word, Loyola and Jackson State in doubles’.
 
FRESHMAN SEASON (2011-12)
As a freshman, led the squad in single-season dual victories with an 11-5 record...Malmgren was nominated for Louisiana Freshman of the Year after going 8-2 at the No. 4 spot and 3-3 at the No. 5 spot...  First UNO win came in rallying from a set down to defeat Viktor Svoboda of Xavier 5-7, 6-4, 6-2 in opener... Opened singles' career with a 9-1 mark with lone loss during stretch to NCAA Division I nationally ranked LSU... Posted win at No. 5 position against Nicola Kusy of Division II No. 5 Valdosta State... In doubles' play, teamed with Ricardo Campos (1-0), Domink Kardell (1-1), Vinay Kamineni (5-5) and Daniel Populus (0-1) for an overall pairs' record of 7-7... Key victories included Xavier, Alcorn State, Jackson State and Texas-Pan American... Narrowly lost 8-7 to tandem from LSU at No. 2 position.

HIGH SCHOOL
Ranked nationally in the Sweden U18 and overall national rankings... Won several national junior events, while reaching the finals in numerous others... Picked to a 'junior national select team' at the age of 14.
