Career Notes: A three-year letterwinner, Anna Segarra enters her senior campaign with career records of 41-15 in singles action and 26-13 in doubles.

2015-16: Played in 20 matches in singles play and 18 in doubles as a junior, posting a 13-7 mark in singles and 10-4 in doubles… led the team in singles victories while tied for the most in doubles action… 10 of her singles victories came at the Privateers top position with six of her Southland Conference wins coming at the number one slot… opened up season with six victories in her first four matches with wins over Loyola (6-0, 6-0 against Margaret Adams at the top singles flight) on Jan. 29, Southern (6-3 against Rufaro Chirewa and Darnesha Moor at the second doubles slot, 6-3, 3-6, 10-6 against Moore at the top singles flight) on Jan. 30, Jackson State (7-6, 6-2 against Julie Angermann at the second singles flight) on Feb. 6 and Alcorn State (6-2 against Ivana Boberic and Ekaterina Potapova at the top doubles flight, 6-2, 6-2 against Boberic at number two singles) on Feb. 13… went on a stretch of eight victories over five conference matches to kick off league play, besting Lamar (6-4 against Katya Lapayeva and Luciana Di Laura at number two doubles) on Feb. 27, Sam Houston State (6-1 against Fabienne Gettwart and Khee Yen Wee at the second doubles position, 6-2, 6-3 over Carrie Casey at the second singles flight) on Feb. 28, Incarnate Word (6-2 against Taryn Strahl and Sarah Savedra at the second doubles flight, 6-1, 6-2 over Rachel Sadiq at the top singles court) on Mar. 4, Central Arkansas (6-2 against Xylia Chunan Xiang and Marli Van Heerden at the second doubles position, 6-4, 4-1 against Nataly Yoo at the top singles flight) on Mar. 6 and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, where she gave all-SLC Second-Team member Hortense Boscher one of her three losses of the season at the top flight on Mar. 13…  went three sets against the eventual SLC Player of the Year Renee Villareal of Southeast Louisiana, losing 7-5, 4-6, 1-6 on Apr. 3… ended campaign with a 6-3 victory over McNeese State’s Klaudia Gawlik and Juia Kral in the Southland Conference Tournament at the second doubles position on Apr. 22.
