The University of New Orleans will be adding a Club Wrestling program beginning in the Fall semester of 2024.  Managed through the department of Recreation and Intramural Sports, Club Wrestling will provide University of New Orleans students with an opportunity to continue wrestling at a high level throughout their time as a Privateer.

Club Wrestling will feature a number of opportunities normally found only at the varsity level:

• A head coach to lead the program, including practice, travel and fundraising coordination.  The head coach will be hired during the Spring 2024 semester.
• The potential for scholarships.
• The ability to travel for regional competition(s).

It is the intent to transition the Club Wrestling program to Varsity status after approximately five years, for the 2028 – 2029 season.
