PRIOR TO UNO
Four year letterman in both cross country and track and field at Brother Martin High School between 2015-2019 … named the 2018-2019 Gatorade Louisiana Boys Cross Country Runner of the Year after winning the LHSAA Class 5A individual Championship with a time of 17:59.40 as senior… during his final year as a Crusader (in 2018) ran won seven of eight races and clocked both the fastest 3 mile time and 5K time in Louisiana … also was Louisiana’s best finisher (17^th Place) at the Nike Cross Nationals South Regional Championships in 2018 … finished his Crusader career with a 4.32 GPA and as a National Merit Scholarship semifinalist … recruited out of high school by Belmont, Colorado, Furman, Notre Dame, Ole Miss and LSU … three year letterman for the Colorado Buffalos in both cross country and track and field between 2019-2023 … two NCAA Cross Country appearances finishing 195^th in 2021 and 115^th in 2022 … three top-10 finishes during his cross country career in Boulder … personal bests include 23:17.7 at 8,000 meters and 28:47.6 at 10,000 meters.

- Son of Mike and Michelle Appleton.
- Brother, Mason, has run Cross Country and Track and Field for New Orleans since 2022.
- Attending Dental School while competing in his last year of eligibility on the Lakefront.
- Hobbies include swimming, fishing and boating.
- Earned his undergraduate degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from the University of Colorado in 2023.
