High School: Six-year varsity letterman at Houma Christian where he played for his father, Freddie Frye…helped guide the Warriors to a combined 75-60 overall record, a 22-19 district mark and trips to the state playoffs in each of his final four prep seasons, including an 18-6 mark with a District 8-B championship while advancing to the state quarterfinals as a sophomore…set school’s career scoring and rebounding records with 2,618 points and 1,643 boards to go with 496 steals, 328 assists and 121 blocked shots…named first-team all-state his final three high school seasons, starting as a sophomore when he averaged 21.4 points per contest…garnered first-team all-state, all-area and all region in each of his final four prep campaigns and claimed first-team all-district honors five times…named Region MVP as a senior after averaging 17.6 points, 11.4 rebound, 3.6 steals and 2.7 assists per game…selected to play in the Thibodeaux Regional Bayou vs River All-Star Game, where he won the Dunk Contest and was named game MVP after scoring 14 points while helping lead the River All-Stars to an 80-72 win…tabbed Region MVP as a sophomore…played club basketball for the Bayou Flames from 2009-12…also lettered two years in football and was named the HCS Wendy’s High School Heisman Winner as a senior after racking up 1,896 all-purpose yards and 28 touchdowns…
