Jimmy Headrick was named Director of Golf for the Privateers in April of 2000. He originally joined the University as Women's golf Coach in 1999, and added men's coaching duties for the 2004-2005 season.  Headrick oversees both the women’s and men’s golf programs.  Before becoming the Golf Program Director, Headrick was head coach of the women’s golf.
Headrick is currently head gold pro and part owner of the Eastover Country Club in New Orleans. Â He has also held the position of golf pro at Beau Chene Golf and Raquet Club in Mandeville, Colonial Country Club in Harahan. Â Headrick has also been assistant gold pro at Lakewood Country Club in New Orleans and Audubon Golf Club.
Headrick has received many awards and recognition throughout his career. Â He has been Louisiana PGA Apprentice of the Year, President of the Louisiana PGA, Louisiana PGA Professional of the Year twice in 1988 and 1989. Â He was also Gulf States Section PGA Junior Golf Promoter of the Year, Gulf States Section PGA Professional of the ear, and President of the Gulf States Section PGA.
