Darrius "Zeke" Mazyck was hired in July 2025 as an assistant coach for the women's basketball program.
Since 2020, Mazyck has spent time at Texas Tech, Cincinnati, Wake Forest and Mercer prior to his arrival on the Lakefront.
"I'm honored to join UNO Women's basketball program," said Mazyck. "I'm excited to contribute to the development of our student athletes both on and off the court. I'm looking forward to working with Coach Powell and the rest of the staff as we build something special here at UNO"
Last season, Mazyck was an assistant at Mercer where he worked with post player development. Mazyck also oversaw the development of the digital playbook and video program while with the Bears.
Mazyck also served as the video coordinator at Wake Forest during the 2023-24 season. He created style of play videos for recruiting purposes and developed strategies for games. Mazyck also collaborated with the coaching staff on both game plans for opponents and evaluating recruits.
At Cincinnati, Mazyck was the Director of Video during the 2022-23 season. He assisted the coaches with skill development and assisted in coordinating recruiting visits.
Prior to 2020, Mazyck spent two years as a graduate assistant with Clemson where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in '18. He earned a Master's Degree in 2020 in Athletic Leadership.
