Vinay Kamineni won his second straight match and improved to 5-2 on the spring season with a 7-6, 6-3 victory over Alcorn State's Alexandr Lidzar as the Privateers defeated Division II Alcorn State 5-2.

In doubles' play, Kamineni and teammate Abdelrahman Zaki improved to 4-2 in the spring with an 8-6 win at No. 2 over Alcorn's doubles' tandem of Pushpendra Rajpurouit and Winfried Weinbeer. The victory sealed the doubles' point for the Privateers and the momentum.
