Hunter Smith posted the first top 10 finish of the year for the UNO golf team as they wrapped up their 2010-11 season with a seventh place team finish at the Lou Hart Invitational. Smith finished the three rounds of golf with a 10-over 223, just four shots behind the event's trio of leaders.

The freshman from Baton Rouge Catholic opened the tournament with a 4-over 75 during Monday's first round and improved by a shot with each passing round to top his personal-best three round score of 225 from two weeks prior. The freshman's finish was the highest of the year for a Privateer since Trey Neck placed 13th at the Lake Caroline Invite in October.
