Within Ania's first year with the Privateers, she played at court one for Beach Volleyball. Esarte and partner Lucie Pokorna went 27-6 at No. 1 to break the school record for most wins in a single season. They are ranked #4 Top NCAA Top Pair with an 81.8 percent win percentage. |

In a prestigious meet at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, Ismael showed out against some of the top collegiate sprinters in the country. He followed a 10.10 in the preliminaries with a school record 10.03 in the finals which placed him 3rd in the 100. |

Alexandra had a strong performance in the Southland Indoor Championships with three podium finishes. That included a win in the mile where Weir sprinted away from the competition at the bell lap. She competed the same day in the 3000 and finished second. |

Senior Maxine is the captain of the Beach Volleyball team and a member of the indoor volleyball team. Throughout her career as an athlete, she's been known for her hard work in the weight room, and her ability to motivate her entire team into always giving more. Even through injury, Max would consult with the athletic trainer to make sure her workouts were modified. |

Elliott, a junior, strained his hamstring last year causing him to miss the entire indoor track and field season.  Determined to get back on track, Elliott was diligent in his recovery and rest and has made a big return to outdoor track. His top 12 ranking in the NCAA eastern region qualified him for regionals where he narrowly missed punching his ticket to nationals in the 100m.

Taylore, is half of the court five pair for beach volleyball.,. After being diagnosed with a sacral osteoblastoma Taylore missed a year of athletic participation. Since returning to the team, Taylore has spent many hours in the training room every week, working on mobility, strength, and pain management. Marcel won the first Conference Player of the Year honor for the Privateers men's tennis team when he earned the honor this spring. Playing at Flight 1 throughout the year, Marcel won 24 matches (12 singles, 12 doubles). Congratulations! |

Lina had an excellent career on the Lakefront including a 26-3 career record in singles over two seasons. This year, the First Team All-Southland selection won 15 consecutive singles matches heading into the conference tournament. |

Max Heinzel Clinches the Southland Championship | Interview |

Coming down to the wire, Max secured a big service break in the deciding match of the tennis championship to go up 5-3. On the changeover, Max held with two big serves to go up 40-15. The deciding point was won when a cross court forehand forced a short ball return that turned into a winner and a Southland title.

Troy capped off a season and career filled with highlights as he finished in the top 5 in program history in games played, points, free throws made, steals and assists. He was named First Team All-Southland and ranked in the top 10 in the conference in 7 categories this year. Congratulations, Troy. |

A decorated career on the course saw Arina finish on the podium at the Southland Cross Country Championships for the second time after finishing 3rd last fall. In her Privateer career, Arina has finished in the top three in 11 cross country races and was a qualifier for Nationals in 2019. |

Against a tough schedule that featured three nationally ranked opponents, the Privateers went 16-6 for the season. They started out fast with the best start in school history by winning their 1st 8 matches of the year. They also closed strong by defeating Texas A&M-Corpus Christi twice this year including in the championship we hosted here at the Privateer Tennis Center.Â

The cross country team finished second in three different meets and battled to the end with Texas A&M-Corpus Christi with only one point separating the two teams in the Southland Championships. The team also finished second in the LSU Invitational and the Blazer Classic and turned in a top 10 finish at the South Central Regionals.
