Mirjam Sipos is this week's UNOPrivateers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
Sipos averaged 12 points, eight assists, 2.5 steals and two rebounds per game for the Lady Privateers this week. The senior guard from Hungary began her week by scoring 12 points, dishing out six assists and making a career-high four there-pointers against LSU on New Year's Eve.
A few days later against Southern Miss, Sipos netted a double-double with 12 points and 10 assists. The 10 assists represented the first time a member of the Lady Privateer roster had dished out 10 or more assists since Sipos established a career-high with 13 against Southern-New Orleans on Jan. 13, 2011. The guard had a season-high three steals in the contest. The three steals in the game were a season-high for Sipos.
Prior to the USM contest, Sipos last had a double-double on Feb. 3, 2011. During the course of her career, she has had five double-doubles.
On the season, Sipos is averaging 9.4 points, 2.7 assists and 2.7 rebounds.
