Keri Thomas is this week's UNOPrivateers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.
Thomas averaged 20 points, 4.5 rebounds, three assists and three steals to lead UNO to a split this past week. The guard also shot 15 of 33 for a 45.4 percent clip.
Thomas began her week by scoring 21 points on 9 of 18 shooting in a loss to Murray State. It was the guard's second straight shooting performance of 50 percent or better, the first time Thomas had accomplished the feat in her career.
Three days later, Thomas scored 15 of her 19 points in the first half as UNO erased an early deficit to grab the lead against Houston Baptist. The guard hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to end the first half, providing the Lady Privateers the spark they needed heading into the second half to claim their first victory in 17 games.
On the season, Thomas is averaging a team-best 14.2 points in addition to 3.3 rebounds, 1.9 steals and 1.6 assists.
