Jason Veillion enters his 12th season as Director of Maestri Field, where he is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of First NBC Ballpark.

He continues a tradition that was started in 1991 when Maestri Field and the New Orleans baseball staff were honored by the American Baseball Coaches Association with the Groundskeeper of the Year Award for the nation's best field.

Veillion was intergral in the revamped surfaced layed at Maestri Field prior to the 2007 season.

Veillion is a native of Chalmette, La. and now resides in Pearl River.
