Hezekiah Randolph joined the New Orleans Privateers baseball coaching staff for the 2020 season. He was officially hired in January. Randolph coached first base.
In the summer of 2021, Randolph started his first head coaching job with the Valley Blue Sox of the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
Under his assistance, the Privateers were unstoppable on the base paths. New Orleans had 19 successful stolen bases in 21 attempts in the abbreviated 2020 season.
Randolph had a strong career with the program from 2014-17. In that span, he was a Freshman All-American, a First Team All-Southland and All-Louisiana selection and All-Region honoree by the American Baseball Coaches Association.
In his four seasons, Randolph hit 25 home runs and drove in 140. He finished tied for fifth in the Southland in homers during his senior season with 13 and seventh in slugging percentage (.584).
A Baton Rouge native who was a two-sport standout at Parkview Baptist, Randolph played football and baseball. He was a part of state championship teams in both sports and earned multiple All-District nods in both sports (football-three times and baseball-twice).
