JACKSONVILLE, Fla - The University of New Orleans women's swim team
dropped a dual meet against the University of North Florida on Saturday
afternoon, 165-66.
UNO falls to 2-8 in dual competitions on the season while UNF continues their strong season with their fifth straight victory to open the season. UNF now holds wins in all three duals between the two teams.
Ashley McClelland continued to perform well with a time of 2:12.54 in the 200 back, good for first place in the event. McClelland later teamed with Sarah Gros, Tess Sweatman and Kate Garvey to win the 400 free relay in a time of 3:43.24.
Other strong performances for the Privateers included second place finishes by Garvey in the 100 free (55.98), Townsend in the 200 fly (2:13.15) and Gros in the 1000 free (11:01.70).
The Privateers will return to the pool for the Delta State Christmas Invitational in Cleveland, Miss. beginning Dec. 15.
