Interviews above come from fans sharing their excitement regarding the return of UNO basketball to the Lakefront Arena.

NEW ORLEANS -- T.J. Worley and Destin Damachoua combined for 27 points as the White team defeated the Blue 38-36 in the Blue-White scrimmage on Tuesday at Lakefront Arena.

Damachoua, a JUCO transfer from Paris, France, was 5-for-9 from the field and added four steals, while Worley went 6-for-12 including a 3-pointer.

The duo led a White squad that shot 50 percent overall, including 58 percent in the second half.

Kyndall Dykes and freshman Charles Carmouche had 14 points each for the Blue. Carmouche, who prepped locally at McMain High School, was 4-for-4 from 3-point range. The Blue, though, shot just 36 percent from the field.

The scrimmage was fans' first true look at the newly renovated Lakefront Arena. The Privateers split up into the two teams, and fans attending were able to view the Privateers' brand new locker room and video room facilities.

UNO will kick off the regular season at 7 p.m. on Nov. 15 at home against North Carolina State. For ticket information, call 504-280-GAME.
