NEW ORLEANS – Blessing Dunn finished with 10 kills, six digs and a service ace and
Kaitlyn Grice added three blocks in the University of New Orleans' (7-11, 1-5 Southland) 3-0 loss to Houston Baptist University (14-5, 6-1 Southland) Saturday afternoon in the Human Performance Center.
SET ONE
Dunn registered five kills on .500 hitting in the opening set but the Huskies offset with a team percentage of 34.5 to take a 1-0 lead, 25-18. Grice and
Kyra Hunter were credited with two assisted blocks in the first set.
SET TWO
The teams traded points early on but Houston Baptist took a 2-0 lead in the match, taking the second stanza 25-18. Dunn led all players with eight kills,
Andrea Nava recorded six digs – five in the set.
SET THREE
HBU headed back to Houston with a 3-0 victory, matching sets one and two with a 25-18 win, remaining tied atop the Southland with a 6-1 conference mark.
