STARKVILLE, Miss. – New Orleans (1-2) forced 14 #RV Mississippi State (4-0) turnovers but the Bulldogs picked up 45 rebounds en route to an 82-59 victory Sunday afternoon in Humphrey Coliseum.
It was back and forth early on, but Robert Woodard II picked up the slack for MSU with 21 points and 16 rebounds.

"It's a tough road trip for us, but this will continue to help our growth," said head coach
Mark Slessinger. "Every possession has a high value for us and there are no wasted outings from top to bottom. If we want to be in the tournament in March, every rep is crucial."
FIRST HALF
The Privateers took a two-point lead early following
Bryson Robinson's steal that led to the first of two strong finishes by
Ahren Freeman. At the under-12 media, New Orleans and Mississippi State were tied at 13.
The Bulldogs went on a 13-4 run for a 32-23 edge heading into the final media.
The Privateers attempted their first free throw at the 2:16 mark with Freeman splitting the pair.
New Orleans forced eight first-half turnovers, but the Bulldogs outrebounded New Orleans 21-to-10 and scored 11 second chance points to UNO's two.
Robinson posted eight points,
Troy Green added seven and
Jaylen Key followed with six.
Gerrale Gates and Key picked up a block.
For the Bulldogs, Woodard II provided much of the scoring punch with 15 of MSU's 38 for a 10-point lead at the break.
SECOND HALF
Mississippi State extended its lead to 20 with 14:42 remaining. Robinson and
Troy Green reached double figures at the under-four media.
INSIDE THE BOX
Green and Robinson paced the squad with 14 points and B-Rob added five rebounds and three steals.
Jahmel Myers came off the bench with two dunks, three offensive rebounds and six total points.
The Privateers went 13-of-15 from the charity stripe.
Mississippi State shot 50.8 percent from the floor, but the three-point defense of the Privateers continued to limit opponents as the Bulldogs shot 5-of-20 from deep.
