Green Moves Up All-Time Points List in Defeat vs. Stephen F. Austin

NEW ORLEANS – In their first game since Jan. 30, the New Orleans Privateers had four reach double figures but could not hold a halftime lead in an 89-79 loss to the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks on Monday afternoon at the Lakefront Arena.
 
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE
Troy Green led the way in scoring for the Privateers with 20 on 6-of-9 from the field in 37 minutes logged. Rodney Carson Jr. followed with 16 points and tied a team high with three assists.
 
Damion Rosser and Derek St. Hilaire notched 14 and 11 points respectively as the Privateers shot 50 percent from the field.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
-With his 20-point effort, Green passed Sam Jones for 16th on the Privateers all-time scoring list. Green currently has 1,191 points and is eight away from tying Ardith Wearren for 15th on the program list.
-The deciding run came with just under 12 minutes remaining. The Lumberjacks surged ahead with a 12-0 run after falling behind by as many as eight points in the second half.
-After New Orleans wrestled the lead away at the 6:39 mark of the opening half, they kept it through to the halftime locker room.
-Both teams shot very efficiently in the opening 20. The Lumberjacks hit at a 53.1 percent clip while the Privateers connected on 52.2 percent of their attempts.
-Green had 11 of his points in the first half in 17 minutes of play.
-St. Hilaire has scored in double figures in four consecutive games. The contest also marked his eighth double digit scoring output of the season.
 
NEXT UP
The Privateers will next host Central Arkansas on Monday, Feb. 22 at the Lakefront Arena. Tip is scheduled for 7 p.m.
