NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans women's basketball program dropped a 66-59 decision to Southland Conference rival Nicholls at the UNO Lakefront Arena on Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- New Orleans jumped out to an early 10-6 lead after the first quarter of play.
- The two sides played a higher-scoring second as Nicholls recorded a 16-15 edge to make it 25-22 New Orleans at the half.
- Nicholls started to comeback in the third and took its first lead of the game as they won the frame by a 17-13 margin to hold a 39-38 as the two sides headed into the fourth.
- The Colonels closed out the fourth with a 27-21 edge to seal the 66-59 victory.
GAME NOTES
- Senior forward
Dionjhae Thomas finished with a game-high 17 points to go with four rebounds, two assists and a block. She has now hit double-digits in scoring in nine of her last 10 contests. Thomas has 13 double-digit point games in total on the season.

Mia Deck chipped in 13 points as she went 6-of-6 from the line and snagged five boards. She has scored at least 12 points in each of the last three games after she returned to the line up from injury on Feb. 20.
- Bri Ellis tied a season and career-best with four assists. She also added four points, two steals and a career-high six rebounds.
- Sophomore guard
Mary Delgado had a career-high seven rebounds to go with nine points and three assists.

Zanaa Cordis went a perfect 3-of-3 from the field as she posted six points.
