NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans men's basketball program rolled over local rival Dillard, 93-66, in a non-conference battle between Greater New Orleans institutions at the UNO Lakefront Arena on Tuesday evening.

Troy Green led the way with a season-best 20 points to go with six rebounds, three assists and a steal. The St. Rose, La. native went 9-of-15 from the field and 2-of-5 from beyond the arc. He dropped his 20 points in just 24 minutes of play.

Rodney Carson Jr. had his best game of the season as he finished with 17 points (on 7-of-9 shooting), two assists and a block. It was a new career-best in points for the sophomore guard and he accomplished the feat in only 17 minutes of action.

Kmani Doughty chipped in a career-high 13 points, six boards, five assists and two steals. He also set a new career-best with 24 minutes played.

Tyson Jackson had another big day inside as he racked up 12 points (on 5-of-9 shooting) along with seven rebounds and a rejection. The seven rebounds tied a season-best for the forward.

Daniel Sackey chipped in 11 points with a season-best eight assists and seven rebounds, along with two steals.

D'Ante Bell finished the night with seven points, four boards and two assists.
- Tonight was the first game this season that the Privateers had five student-athletes reach double-figures in points.
- The Privateers finished with more points off turnovers (18 to 7), points in the paint (50 to 42), fast break points (23 to 17) and bench points (33 to 22) on the evening.
- New Orleans recorded its seventh game of the season and third contest in a row in which the team finished at a 50 percent or better clip from the field as the Privateers knocked down 40-of-73 of their shots (54.8 percent). UNO is 6-1 in games this year when the team shoots better than 50 percent.
- UNO led for 33:49 minutes of tonight's contest.
- With the victory, New Orleans has now won three games in a row.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Dillard got off to a fast start and took a 10-4 edge 3:15 into the game. It would be the last real lead the Blue Devils would hold for the rest of the contest.
- New Orleans stormed back on a 10-4 run of its own as the Privateers tied the game at 14 with 13:11 in the opening half.
- UNO ended the final 13-plus minutes on a 32-18 heater to take a 46-32 edge into the half.
- The Privateers hit the first basket of the second and never looked back as New Orleans won the final frame by a 47-34 advantage to seal the 93-66 victory.

The Privateers take to the court for Game No. 2 of the current four-game homestand as the group opens Southland Conference play with a showdown against Nicholls on Saturday, Jan. 15 at 4 PM CT at the UNO Lakefront Arena. The game will also be played in front of a national audience on ESPN+.
