NEW ORLEANS, La. – In conclusion of its two game road series and the first-ever matchup in Idaho, New Orleans (2-7) was not able to get it done against Boise State (9-2) in a 91-50 loss at ExtraMile Arena.
Boise State continues an eight-game win streak. Kobe Young led the Broncos with 16 points and three rebounds.
Jordan Johnson led the Privateers with 14 points and seven rebounds. Khaleb Wilson-Rouse joined him in double-figures with 10 points and four rebounds. The Privateers improved their turnovers from last matchup to 11 but shot a season-low 26% from the field.
INSIDE THE BOX
Marquez Cooper edged his season best with nine points and three steals. Tyson Jackson chipped in five with five, while both Omarion Henry and Simeon Kirkland put up four points apiece.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Boise jumped out to an early lead 14-7 just under 15 minutes. At the two-minute mark New Orleans trailed 24-37 and Johnson shot three-of-three from the charity stripe.
In the second half, Johnson made two three-pointers. The Privateers kept the margin as low as 12, and it was extended to 41 to end the game 91-50.
