NEW ORLEANS – Three Privateers landed in double figures in kills but it was Arkansas-Pine Bluff who wrestled away momentum after the first set as they defeated New Orleans 3-1 (19-25, 25-11, 25-22, 25-22) on Friday night at the Human Performance Center.
Arkansas-Pine Bluff used the service line with Anaiah Jordan to put away the second set. Jordan had two aces and the Golden Lions ripped off 10 consecutive points on her service. UAPB also hit very efficiently, connecting at a .500 clip on their attempts.

New Orleans used an eight-point run off of
Chelsea Daffin's serve to take a 14-10 lead in set four. The Golden Lions reset though and fought their way back to level the score at 17-17. It became a race to the wire which UAPB won when Marlina Anderson put away her eighth kill of the match to secure the Golden Lions' second win of the season.
