NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Privateers men's tennis team got a singles win from Gonzalo Cotter and stretched out a couple of other matches in a 6-1 loss to the Tulane Green Wave on Sunday at City Park.

Cotter rebounded from losing the first set against Antonio Delgadillo. He won the race to 10 points in the third set tiebreak by a score of 10-4 to keep his singles record unbeaten at 7-0 after the flight four triumph.

Jacob Rouleau-Mailly and Beltran Fernandez also pushed their matches to three sets in singles.

Rouleau-Mailly was pitted in a third set tiebreak against Daniel Phillips after the two men traded 6-3 set scores. Phillips won the tiebreak 7-4 to seal the point for Tulane. Also, Fernandez was involved in a third set 10-point tiebreak that went down to the wire, but was won by Asaf Friedler 10-8.

In doubles, the Privateers got out to quick starts at flight one and three, but Tulane wound up taking the first point of the day.
