Amber Clay

Amber Clay has joined the Privateers' women's basketball coaching staff as a student-assistant for the 2014-15 season.

A native of Blytheville, Ark. Clay was a two-year letter winner at New Orleans after transferring over from Holmes CC in 2012. In her junior season on the Lakefront, Clay averaged 6.5 points and 5.4 rebounds per game. Clay also garnered national recognition by winning the College Sports Independent Player of the Week after a 12-point 10-rebound performance against Arkansas-Pine Bluff in Dec. 2012.

In two seasons, Clay did not miss a game, competing in all 55 contests for the Privateers with 32 starts. In her senior season, Clay closed the year by grabbing five or more rebounds in nine of the last ten games.
