Kendall Shaw was named director of basketball operations for the University of New Orleans women’s basketball program in the summer of 2018 and enters her third season on the Lakefront.
 
A former NCAA Division I student-athlete, Shaw played at Vanderbilt University and the University of Wisconsin, earning her bachelor’s and master’s, respectively.
 
Earning her master's at UW, Shaw played in 47 total games for the Badgers, starting 14. She averaged 3.4 points and 2.9 rebounds and collected 19 blocks in both seasons for Wisconsin. While there she was Academic All-Big Ten.
 
Prior to her two seasons in Wisconsin, Shaw was a four-year member of the Vanderbilt women’s hoop team, playing in 56 games. She was nominated for the Allstate WBCA and NABC Good Works Team and pulled down a career-high 10 rebounds in the Commodores’ win over Mississippi Valley State November 15, 2015.
 
A Mont Belvieu, Texas native, Kendall is the daughter of Robert and Tammy Shaw. Her father played basketball at Rice University from 1979-83 and her brother Keaton plays at St. Thomas University in Houston.
 
Shaw earned her bachelor’s in child studies and medicine, health and society in May 2016 from Vanderbilt and received her master’s in athletic administration and leadership from Wisconsin in May 2018.
