2015: Saw action in 95 sets over 30 matches with 13 starts as a sophomore…finished second on the team in kills per set (2.32), third in points per set (2.56) and fourth in both points (243) and kills (220) while also contributing  89 digs, 19 blocks (2 solo, 17 assists) and 13 service aces…tallied eight double-digit kill outings, nine four-plus dig efforts, four multiple-ace contests and a pair of multiple-block performances…scored a season-best 18 points after tallying season-high marks of 13 kills, four blocks (all assists) and three service aces vs UT-Rio Grande Valley (10/19)…also had a season-best 13 kills and a season-high eight digs at UNC Asheville during the UNCA Invitational (9/10), and equaled her season-best with three aces vs Southern (10/8)…off the court, was a member of the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll and UNO’s 3.0 Club.
 
2014: Played in 92 sets over 29 matches with 24 starts as a sophomore…led the team in points (282.0), points per set (3.07), kills (242), kills per set (2.63) and service aces (27) while ranking fourth in total blocks (23) and block assists (20), tied for fourth in solo blocks (3) and fifth in digs (136) to go with five assists…finished ninth in the Southland Conference in service aces per set (0.29)…recorded double-digit kills nine times, double-figure digs on five occasions, seven multiple-ace outings and five multiple-block efforts…posted career-high totals with 26 points, 23 kills and four blocks (all assists) to go with nine digs, a service ace and an assist vs Prairie View A&M at the Texas Southern Invitational (8/30)…posted a double-double with 15 kills and 11 digs vs Arkansas-Pine Bluff during the New Orleans Invitational(9/5)…added career-high marks with six aces vs Mississippi Valley State (9/2), 14 digs at Southeastern Louisiana (10/9) and two assists at Alcorn State (9/30)…also had four block assists vs Nicholls (10/7).

2013: Saw action in 40 sets over 12 matches with nine starts as a true freshman…posted 71 kills (1.77/set), 50 digs (1.25/set), 16 blocks (0.40/set), 10 service aces (0.25/set) and six assists (0.15/set) before suffering an ankle injury…received a medical redshirt…tallied double-digit kill totals on three occasions and three-plus digs eight times to go with five multiple-block and two multiple-ace performances…scored a season-high 13 points on a season-best 11 kills to go with two block assists and an ace at Alabama State during the ISTAP College Cup (9/13)…added season-best marks of three service aces at Southern Miss (9/3) and vs Tulane (9/11), nine digs vs Savannah State at the College Cup (9/13) and three blocks (all assists) vs Duke at the Campus USA Credit Union Invitational (8/30)…off the court, was a member of the Southland Conference Commissioner’s Honor Roll and UNO’s 3.0 Club.

High School: Attended Ellenrieder Gymnasium but did not play varsity volleyball there as the school did not sponsor the sport…was a part of teams that placed sixth at the U18 German Championships in 2012…also finished third in U17 German Beach Volleyball Championships and posted fifth-place finishes in the U18 and U19 German Beach Volleyball Championships.

Personal: Born Cara Leonie Sander on March 19, 1995, in Wiesbaden, Germany…daughter of Wolfgang Nicolaus and Ute Sander…has one brother, Jan, who played club volleyball in Konstanz, Germany, and is currently an assistant coach on the UNO volleyball team…majoring in marketing.
