Erica Taylor enters her second year as an Assistant Athletic Trainer for the New Orleans Privateers.

Taylor's primary responsibilities include working with the Privateers volleyball and track and field teams, while assisting with various administrative duties.

Her most recent experience includes working at the Berkshire Soccer Academy, a residential girls summer soccer camp in Massachusetts. Taylor also has extensive experience with the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), having worked with various youth national teams.  One of the teams Taylor prided herself in working for was the men’s Paralympic team, U-14, and U15 teams, and including the full women’s national team. Her job with the USSF alotted her the opportunity to travel to Mexico and Italy.

Taylor’s previous full time experience includes time at Emory University and Upper Iowa University. While at Emory, she served the swimming/diving, cross country, and track/field teams. Her duties also included coordinating the club sport injury clinic and game coverage.

Prior to Emory, she served as Approved Clinical Instructor in the athletic training education program at Upper Iowa University, while working with the volleyball and women’s basketball teams.
 
Erica completed her Bachelor’s of Science in athletic training education from Michigan State University in 2008. While at MSU, Taylor worked with various teams including women’s basketball, baseball, swimming, and track/field. Taylor earned her Master’s of Science in sports medicine from Georgia State University in Atlanta, Ga. in 2010. While completing her graduate degree, Taylor served as a graduate assistant at the Westminster Schools, where she had the opportunity to work with numerous junior high and high school athletes participating in lacrosse, wrestling, football, gymnastics, and soccer. Also, during the 2009-2010 school year, Taylor served as graduate teaching assistant in GSU’s Kinesiology and Health Department.  
 
Taylor is a Licensed Athletic Trainer in Louisiana and Massachusetts.  She is an active member of the NATA.
 
Taylor is a Michigan native and resides in New Orleans.
