Gabrielle Otero is entering her first season as assistant volleyball coach at the University of New Orleans.

Otero recently graduated from Coppin State with a bachelor of science in early childhood education while ascertaining a 3.68 GPA. Otero also was a four-year starter at libero for Coppin State and was coached by current head coach, Millicent Van Norden in her freshman year.

During her collegiate tenure, Otero has worked with different youth camps and players from ranges of 3rd through 12th grade. Otero also coached students at St. John Paul II Catholic High School in the summer of 2013 and '14 and worked in the same capacity at the Superior Sports Center in 2012.

Otero graduated with honors from Coppin State and was a four-year MEAC All-Academic selection. She was also named the team's most valuable player in 2011 and '12.
