Rebecca Younger

Rebecca Younger is the newest addition to the New Orleans Privateers athletic training staff, officially joining in February 2015.

Younger's most recent position held was at Alfred State College in Alfred, N.Y. where she was the primary athletic trainer for five sports: soccer (men's and women's), cross country (men's and women's), swimming and diving, track and field, and baseball. 

A native of New Jersey, Younger has also toured the professional baseball ranks on two different occasions. Starting in the summer of 2011, Younger was an athletic training intern for the Chicago Cubs organization. In May 2014, Younger was the head athletic trainer for the New Jersey Jackals of the American Association of Indepenedent Professional Baseball.

Younger has also worked at the University of South Carolina where she obtained her Masters in physical education. Younger got her Bachelor's degree from Slippery Rock University (Pennsylvania) in December 2011. Younger was on the Dean's List at Slippery Rock from 2009 through '11.

In college, Younger participated in track and field and cross country and earned multiple academic accolades including being named to the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association's All-Academic Team. Younger has also participated in marathons, running the Boston Marathon in 2014 and the Walt Disney World Marathon in 2013.
