Hall of Fame

University of New Orleans Athletic Hall of Fame

Established in 1988, the University of New Orleans Athletic Hall of Fame honors student/athletes or administrators who have achieved at the highest level in their athletic endeavors or have contributed in significant fashion to the Privateer tradition of excellence. From 1988-1990, twelve honorees were inducted. The inductees include one senior administrator, one baseball coach, one basketball coach, three baseball players, three women's basketball players, two men's basketball players, and one golfer.

The Hall of Fame was re-established in spring 2009. The Class of 2009 includes the 1974 and 1984 Privateer baseball teams in addition to men's basketball player Gabe Corchiani. The Class of 2010 will be announced in fall 2009 with both groups being inducted in a special ceremony to be held in spring 2010.
